Veritas Education is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant with experience in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We are currently representing a local institution in Accrington that is seeking a passionate individual to join their team.

Position: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEND) Location: Accrington, United Kingdom Start Date: As soon as possible Working Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

About the Role: As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant with SEND experience, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with special needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons.
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with other professionals, such as therapists and counselors, to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress, and providing feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting the learning and development of individuals with SEND.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
