Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, South Yorkshire, Sheffield

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £95 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:
  • Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and resources
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with additional needs
  • Supervising group activities and ensuring a safe learning environment
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to student progress and assessments
Required Qualifications:
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Enhanced DBS check clearance
  • Good understanding of safeguarding procedures in an educational setting
Education:
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting
  • Experience supporting students with special educational needs
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Knowledge of different learning styles and how to adapt teaching methods accordingly
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First Aid certification
  • Additional training in specific areas such as SEN support
Working Conditions:
  • Working hours may vary based on the school timetable
  • May involve some physical activity such as assisting students with mobility
  • Opportunities for professional development and further training
  • Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents
