Here at Long-Term Teachers we are seeking a Level 2 Qualified Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful Primary School in the heart of Weston-Super-Mare.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone beginning their TA career or someone with a number of years experience. This school is a welcoming environment where staff members support each other to provide the children with a learning environment for them to reach their full potential using their enquiring minds.



The Role

This role is a part-time Teaching Assistant position, where you will be proactive and energetic, inspiring students to be confident and independent with their learning.

The Head Teacher is looking for a flexible and creative candidate, someone who can use their own initiative to adapt and develop activities to support individual pupils’ understanding.

You will be supporting children across the KS1 classrooms, supporting with interventions and working closely with SEND children, helping them individually to achieve their best.

You will be need to:

  • Be a Level 2 Qualified Teaching Assistant.

  • Have previous experience working with children.

  • Be adaptable to allow each child to access the curriculum.

  • Have great behaviour management skills

  • Work with the school SENCo to gain ideas on how to support each child.

  • Communicate clearly with the Class Teachers when assessing children’s development.
