About the role…

Are you a creative marketing professional with a passion for promoting leisure services and increasing user engagement? We are looking for a Leisure Marketing Specialist to join our team in West Oxfordshire on a part-time basis (22.2 hours per week across 3 days).

As a Leisure Marketing Specialist, you will take the lead in delivering local marketing strategies for our Council-owned leisure centres. Your role will involve devising, delivering, and evaluating targeted marketing campaigns across a variety of traditional and digital channels. By utilising a data-driven market segmentation approach, you will aim to increase user numbers and spend across our leisure portfolio.

In addition to your marketing responsibilities, you will also provide strategic advice to colleagues, partners, and senior managers on innovative marketing approaches. Building and maintaining effective relationships internally, externally, and with partners, media, and suppliers will be key to your success in this role.

You will need…
  • Relevant professional communications/ marketing qualifications, a degree in relevant subject area or relevant experience
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of effective marketing techniques, practices and current thinking including social media and other digital channels
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing plans, ideally within the leisure industry
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns to show a positive return on investment
