An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join a well-established Wills, Trusts & Estates team in Southampton.

My client is a leading Legal 200 law firm. You will be assisting experienced Fee-Earners in their caseloads with a role that is fast-paced and varied throughout.

The role will be to support fee earners with the following: 

  • Typing from dictation and producing documents
  • Preparation of various documentation
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries, both internal and external
  • Being the first point of contact for the team
  • Communication with clients
  • File compliance
  • Diary management
  • Filing and general administration

The suitable candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organised
  • Accurate typing and input of information skills
  • A good team player
  • Flexible and proactive approach
  • Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Willing to take ownership and be accountable for own work
  • Tax & Estate Planning experience would be a distinct advantage, but not essential

You will receive further training and development throughout your career from day one. The successful candidate will also be able to take advantage of the firm’s hybrid working policy, once established.

You will have pre-existing Wills, Trusts and Probate experience in place, in order to be considered.
