Job Title: Legal Secretary

Department: Conveyancing Department

Location: Gloucester Office or Cheltenham Office

Hours of Work: Full-Time, Monday to Friday.

Salary: £21,000 - £27,000 per annum

(Dependent on experience, and tied to a bonus scheme)

Their Conveyancing Department is one of the largest and most successful in the region.

The Role and Business:

As a key member of the Conveyancing Team, you will provide essential support to a senior conveyancing lawyer, contributing to their dynamic workload that spans administrative and legal duties in Residential Conveyancing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively support the senior conveyancing lawyer and fee earners, in progressing matters from initiation to completion.
  • Play a vital role in liaising with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders involved in property transactions.
  • Ensure the accuracy and currency of matter files through regular updates.
  • Interpret and draft legal correspondences and forms required for transactions.
  • Oversee the completion of all related administrative tasks.
  • Drafting contracts, registrations, exchanges, setting up completions and dictation

Desired Attributes:

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate effectively.
  • Previous conveyancing experience is highly desirable.
