Our well-established client is looking for a Legal Secretary to join their Family team based at the Worthing office.

Roles and Responsibilities

Prepare correspondence and documents through digital dictation, word processing and be IT literate, able to work as part of a team but also under your own initiative.

The role involves working for one fee earner and supporting them by performing various administrative duties. These include typing legal documents and correspondence, answering the phones, organising diaries, maintaining organised files, communicating with clients, and answering simple enquiries.

Administer filing which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the detailed procedures contained in the office manual.

Prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch.

Making appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up-to-date diary for their (his/her) principal.

Flexible to cover other legal secretaries around the department.

Requirements for the role

  • Previous knowledge of family law
  • Previous/Current legal secretary
  • Work under pressure.
  • Excellent phone manner
