Legal Secretary (Private Client) - Canterbury

£25,000 - £28,000 p/a + discretionary bonus + benefits such as private medical insurance

Full time or part time considered (permanent role)

2 days a week hybrid working (after a 6-month probation period)

A leading law firm in Canterbury are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their busy Tax & Estates planning team. The firm have a commitment towards developing and retaining their staff to ensure that it remains a great place to work, and so that clients can receive the best possible service. Main Responsibilities

  • Answering calls, taking clear and precise messages, and passing on to the relevant fee earner
  • Administration to include daily filing, typing, responsibility for client files, photocopying, scanning, preparing mail and enclosures, and arranging client visits
  • Arranging appointments, booking meeting rooms and coordinating your fee-earners calendar.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and client documentation and information.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You must have previous experience working as a legal secretary (ideally within tax & estate planning)
  • You will possess excellent organisational skills and have the ability to prioritise competing workloads
  • Will have strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and be confident in liaising with multiple stakeholders and clients
  • Technology skills – you must be familiar with Microsoft packages and are able learn new systems with ease
