I am currently seeking an experienced Legal PA to join the commercial property team of this growing law firm, based in Huddersfield. Working as part of a friendly and professional team you will be responsible for providing secretarial assistance to the Fee Earners within the team. The successful applicant will be an experienced Legal PA, you will have previously worked within either commercial or residential property law and have excellent organisational skills.

Duties will include:

Handle client telephone calls, enquiries, and requests by taking messages, making appointments, or assisting clients where possible.

Work closely with a Commercial Property Fee Earner to organise digital and physical files, original documents and keep track of important key dates on matters.

Work with fee earners in general conduct of cases, including filing, typing from digital dictation, photocopying as and when required.

Dealing with incoming emails and post and organising the same or replying as appropriate.

Drafting and filing SDLT returns online and as directed.

To support fee earners and other team members as required

To undertake any reasonable task as requested

To ensure that post-completion duties (i.e. Companies House registrations, SDLT submissions, ordering Indemnity Policies where applicable etc.) are undertaken

To undertake exchanges and completions

To ensure the confidentiality of the firm’s and client’s documentation and information

To undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development

To provide support to other secretaries as required
