Astral Legal have partnered with a luxury brand retailer as they are recruiting a Legal Counsel to handle a variety of commercial matters.

The ideal Legal Counsel will have a strong background handling commercial contracts. You will be joining a team of 8 lawyers working at a global level. This is a newly developed role and

The duties of a Legal Counsel will be:

  • You will support the legal team in advising on marketing/ advertising matters. Experience in this area is desired but strong commercial lawyers will also be considered.
  • You must be capable of reviewing, negotiating and drafting a variety of commercial agreements.
  • Deliver training sessions to the business regarding legal changes.
  • You will report directly into the Senior Legal Counsel and support a trainee solicitor.

The ideal Legal Counsel will possess.

  • Excellent knowledge of commercial and contract law.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating a range of agreements for a UK and international business.
  • Experience working in-house, ideally for a global brand and advising on multi-jurisdictional issues.
  • 4-5 years PQE experience but candidates at a lower or higher PQE level will be considered if they meet the experience criteria.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with senior stakeholders.
