Our client is a global Entertainment business which engages with audiences in innovative ways. We are seeking a commercial IP lawyer with gaming experience to join the Legal & Business Affairs team.
Reporting directly to the Head of Legal & Business Affairs, you will be an integral member of the team, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to facilitate the acquisition and licensing of rights across various commercial platforms, including gaming.
Responsibilities:
* Drafting and negotiating license agreements spanning all forms of exploitation, with a focus on gaming
* Drafting and negotiating acquisition of content agreements to support our client’s diverse portfolio
* Managing co-production agreements
* Negotiating with licensees and acting as the legal lead for specific sales territories/activities
* Assisting the Head of LBA in diverse contractual matters, including dispute management
* Participating in trademark registrations and contributing to the development of template documents and other commercial agreements.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
You will be a commercial/IP/media lawyer with demonstrable industry experience across various forms of rights exploitation, ideally in gaming licensing. Familiarity with music royalties, including PRS and Mechanical rights will also be useful, as well as a significant understanding of Intellectual Property law as it relates to exploitation.
