The School of Vocational and Technical Studies at South Thames College are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Lecturer - Biology to deliver outstanding quality teaching, learning, assessment and tutorial support to students so as to maximise achievement and continuous improvement. The role plays a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum with employer engagement and learner skills development.

So, if you have recent experience of teaching Biology in an FE College, then we would be delighted to hear from you!

We also ask that you are qualified to degree level and have strong evidence of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment. You will have experience of tutoring and supporting learners, setting and implementing targets, monitoring and reviewing progress, as well as strong evidence of effective employer engagement in curriculum design and delivery.

Strong working knowledge of current framework for teaching, learning, assessment and quality assurance is essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and to strict validating body deadlines.

Please note that this post is funded for the 2024/25 academic year so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2024.

Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.
