Learning Support Assistant (Permanent)

Job Type: Full Time Salary/Grade: £22,183 - £24,481 pro rata

Are you passionate about education and supporting young learners? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a local primary school through Reed Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in helping our wonderful children thrive and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Support: You’ll work closely with teachers to provide support in the classroom, assisting with activities, group work, and individual learning.

1:1 Support: You’ll also have the opportunity to work one-on-one with students who require additional assistance, tailoring your approach to meet their specific needs.

Positive Learning Attitudes: We’re looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working practitioner who can foster positive learning attitudes among our students. Your ability to inspire and encourage children will be essential.

Literacy Skills: Strong literacy skills are a must. You’ll help students develop their reading, writing, and communication abilities.

Phonics Support: Experience in supporting the delivery of phonics is advantageous. If you have a background in this area, we’d love to hear from you.

Creativity: We value creativity! Whether it’s finding engaging ways to teach a concept or coming up with fun learning activities, your creativity will make a difference.

Qualifications and Experience:

Teaching Assistant Experience: The role would suit an experienced teaching assistant, preferably with a relevant qualification.

Career Aspirations: If you’re looking to move onto a teaching career in the future, this position provides valuable experience.

Qualified Teachers: Qualified teachers interested in a support role are also encouraged to apply.
