Job Advertisement: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Are you passionate about supporting students in their educational journey? Do you have experience working with young people in a school setting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Position Overview: We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As an LSA, you will support students both with and without various Special Educational Needs (SEN) within and external to the classroom environment. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all students have equal opportunities to succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to individual student needs.
  • Provide note-taking and scribing support during lessons.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Personal Care programs.
  • Foster positive relationships with students.
  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Facilitate the inclusion of students in school life.

Requirements:

  • Current DBS check or willingness to undergo a new check.
  • Previous experience working in a school as an LSA or similar role.

Hours of Employment: Term time only, Monday to Friday between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
