Position: Learning Support Assistant

Start date: As soon as possible

Location: Caerphilly and surrounding areas

Academics are looking to appoint qualified a Learning Support Assistant to work in Primary Schools across Caerphilly.

We are incredibly proud to be listed as one of the Welsh Government's preferred suppliers of teaching and support staff which has enabled us to build strong relationships with a number of Primary schools across Caerphilly!

What will you be doing as a Learning Support Assistant?

  • Learning Support Assistants may be required to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups.
  • To support the class teacher in day to day classroom activities.
  • To provide various methods of support to pupils with diverse needs.
  • To ensure that children maintain engagement with tasks set by the teacher
  • To assist with tidying and the provision of learning materials.
  • To work flexibly across Caerphilly in various primary schools to cover planned and unplanned absences for sickness, maternity, paternity and training days.
  • To be proactive within the classroom.

What will you need to register with us?

  • An enhanced DBS check and registration with the EWC (We can assist with this)
  • Relevant qualifications to childcare, teaching assistant or SEN.
  • Experience within a primary school setting
  • Local to or able to commute across Caerphilly
  • To complete our FREE safeguarding training
