Experience in, or a readiness to cultivate expertise in, supporting the delivery of the unique curriculum is highly prized. Candidates should also embody the following attributes:

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational capacity.
  • A profound comprehension of child learning, coupled with a keen interest in holistic child development.
  • Proficiency in literacy and numeracy demonstrated through GCSE qualifications in Maths and English or equivalent.
  • A fervour for outdoor pursuits or a demonstrated interest in acquiring relevant proficiencies.
  • A sincere enthusiasm for learning coupled with a resolute commitment to working with children and young people with additional needs.
  • A patient, nurturing, and empathetic demeanour, prioritising the child's well-being at all times.
  • Exemplary observational skills and the aptitude for creative thinking and problem-solving, fostering the exploration of our students' latent potential.
  • Emotional intelligence and fortitude, capable of maintaining composure in demanding circumstances.

As a valued member of our team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Offering tailored support to learners with learning difficulties, disabilities, and challenging behaviours on an individual basis.
  • Assisting students in acclimating to their environment, identifying signs of distress, and providing comfort.
  • Cultivating an ethos of acceptance and inclusivity among all pupils, nurturing their self-esteem and facilitating their integration into the classroom and wider school community.
  • Encouraging student interaction and participation in activities under the guidance of teachers.
  • Supervising and supporting students to ensure their safety and access to quality education, fostering their physical, emotional, and educational growth.
  • Cultivating positive and supportive relationships with students, acting as a role model and effectively addressing their individual needs.
  • Enjoying outdoor activities as part of your daily routine, exploring the school's picturesque grounds.

To apply for this role, candidates must:

  • Possess their own transportation.
  • Hold a DBS certificate on the update service or be able to apply for one promptly.
  • Provide references covering the last two years of employment.

Qualifications Required: Minimum of 6 months experience. NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.

Salary: £85.68 - £87.25 per day.

Hours: Full-Time (9:00 am - 3:30 pm).

Location: Stourbridge.
