Learning Support Assistant

  • Location - East Sussex
  • Job Type - Full Time
  • Salary - £85-95 per day (negotiable)

Reed Education are seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Learning Support Assistants, to work within secondary schools across Hastings and surrounding areas. This role is perfect for those who are eager to make a significant impact on the educational experiences of students. This is an opportunity to gain/expand experience working with students with SEN. 

Learning Support Assistant Duties:

  • Guide students through their learning plans, with guidance from the teacher.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive environment within the classroom.
  • Collaborate with teachers to organise work and classroom activities.
  • Track student progress and celebrate their achievements.
  • Provide one-to-one support and/or a small group of students. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people with Special Educational Needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage and inspire students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of student needs.
  • The ability to receive and act upon constructive feedback.
  • Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
