Learning Support Assistant

  • Hours: Up to 32.5 per week
  • Location: NE6

I am supporting schools to find Learning Support Assistants to join their vibrant school communities. The ideal candidates will be flexible, motivated, and resilient, with a passion for supporting children’s social, emotional, and physical needs within the classroom environment.

Day to day of the Learning Support Assistant role:

  • Provide classroom support under the direction of the teacher.
  • Cater to pupils’ diverse social, emotional, and physical needs.
  • Utilise knowledge of the EYFS curriculum to enhance student learning.
  • Support with learning activities both indoors and outdoors.
  • Engage with students to inspire and facilitate a positive learning experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Learning Support Assistant role:

  • Learning Support Assistant level 2/3 nursery nurse qualification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Recent experience in UK classrooms.
  • Strong motivation to work with young children.
  • Emotional resilience in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Commitment to personal growth and development within the education sector.
