Learning Support Assistant

  • Location: Crewe
  • Job Type: 0.8 (4 days per week)
  • Salary: £23,000
  • Start Date: ASAP

Reed Further Education is seeking multiple Learning Support Assistants to join a dynamic Student Support Team in Crewe. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about providing support to students aged 16-19 with additional needs. The role offers a chance to make a significant impact on students’ educational experiences and development.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Work closely with students with additional needs to provide tailored support and assistance.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans.
  • Facilitate an inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse requirements of students.
  • Monitor and support the progress and development of students.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Provide encouragement and motivation to students to help them achieve their potential.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students/young adults in a high school, college, or support and care setting.
  • A strong understanding and commitment to safeguarding practices.
  • Minimum of GCSE A-C/Level 2 in English and Maths.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one.

Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by undergoing a 2 year’ employment check and a DBS Application, completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
