This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at a fantastic school in Anlaby as a Learning Mentor who will be required to support students who are placed on alternative learning and vocational programmes at local colleges and training providers within the East Riding.

The working hours are from 08:30am to 16:30pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 08:30 to 16:00pm during the school term. If you are interested in working on a part time basis, please get in touch and we are happy to explore this further with you.

The school offer specialist support for students with social, emotional and mental health needs and this is at the centre of everything they do. They support their students to accelerate their academic, social and emotional skills development and ultimately enable them to re-engage with learning.

The school are looking for an individual who has a good standard of education including numeracy and literacy at GCSE grade C/5 or equivalent, experience of working with Secondary-age students, the ability to relate effectively to students, their parents/carers and professionals working with them and the ability to visit the young people on placements which may be spread throughout the county.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
