Salary: NJC Scale 5 to 6 Pay SCP 14 -18 (FTE £27,334 - £29,269) Actual Salary TTO: £23,444 - £25,104

Location: Warrington

Contract type/Hours: 37 hours p/w term time only

Prospero Teaching are seeking to appoint a dedicated and dynamic Sixth Form Learning Mentor to join a growing team at a technical college in Warrington. They are an enriching and exciting place to work with superb students, committed, highly skilled staff, and a focus on delivering the highest quality teaching. Their staff are their most valuable asset. The post holder will be expected to promote the vision and values of the college with all stakeholders including parents, visitors and the wider community. The successful candidate will join a highly effective and diverse team who provide unwavering support for the young people. The post holder will play a pivotal role in supporting Sixth Form learners, aiding in their academic and holistic development. Acting as both a mentor and a role model, you will implement strategies to enhance aspirations and academic achievement, and guide students towards higher education and future success.

  • Minimum rate of pay £110
  • Hours - 8:20 am - 3.30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recent Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher
  • Previous experience working in a UK school
  • Recent experience working in a pastoral capacity
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided)
  • Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
