Learning Mentor

Salary: From £17.30 per hour

Location: Morecambe

Job Type: Temporary with a view to become permanent, term-time only

Working Hours: 5 days per week

The Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced, dedicated, and skilled Learning Mentor to join our school team. This role involves working across different year groups, providing support and guidance to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. The role may suit a TA2 or TA3 looking to advance their skillset. 

Day-to-day of the role:

Provide one-to-one and group support to students, helping them with academic, social, and personal development.

Work collaboratively with teachers and parents to identify students who would benefit from additional support.

Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance students’ learning experiences and promote positive behaviour.

Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback and adapting strategies as needed.

Contribute to the creation of a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay updated with the latest educational practices and policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Learning Mentor or similar role within an educational setting.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.

A commitment to the personal and academic development of students.

Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of different year groups.

A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving and overcoming challenges.
