As a Learning Support Worker in a Further Education Provider, you will be instrumental in helping students achieve both academic and personal success. You will collaborate with students, educators, and other professionals to foster an inclusive and nurturing environment that caters to the diverse needs of our student body.

Day to Day of the role:

• Provide individualised support tailored to the unique needs of each student, including one-on-one assistance during classes, workshops, and practical sessions. This will include Health & Care Plan of the student.
• Assist students with personal care tasks to ensure their well-being and comfort.
• Offer emotional support and be a friendly, empathetic presence for students during challenging times.
• Work with teaching staff to ensure learning materials and environments are accessible to all students.
• Uphold health and safety standards by adhering to protocols and guidelines within the learning environment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of student interactions, progress, and any specific interventions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Learning Support Worker or in a similar role within an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated empathy and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Adaptability to meet the varying needs of students and to accommodate different learning styles and challenges.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and share insights.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the capacity to manage time efficiently and balance support duties with administrative tasks.
• DBS on the update service essential for this role.
