The Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead piping engineering activities within multi-discipline EPCM projects for the chemical and petrochemical industry.
  • Support the procurement team in translating detailed design packages into procurement packages.
  • Liaise with client engineering team to develop packages of work.
  • Undertake technical bid evaluations.
  • Work with engineering teams to develop technical queries to the client.
  • Represent the business in meetings with stakeholders.
  • Work with site teams to complete delivery
  • For a short initial period, the role will be office based in Warrington to produce technical scope of works for pipework packages. Following this, the role will be based at a fabrication facility and construction site in Yorkshire.

Required experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Senior or Lead engineer in relevant role
  • Good knowledge of project engineering and site interfaces
  • HND / BSc / BEng / MSc in Mechanical engineering.
  • Ability to lead on multiple packages of work.
  • Result oriented, you will take personal accountability for results and monitor performance against project delivery objectives and UK/European Standards & Regulations
  • Able to collaborate successfully with others in pursuit of business goals, adapting quickly to different styles and roles and encouraging others to contribute
  • Able to identify any impact to the project delivery objectives and apply change management accordingly
  • Strive to continuous improvement, generating new ideas for improving performance
  • Leading on safety with ability to author and approve RAMS
