Lead Practitioner of STEM

An "Outstanding" Secondary School in Hackney is on the hunt for a Lead Practitioner of STEM for a September 2024 start. This is a full-time, and permanent position.

What will the role of Lead Practitioner of STEM entail?

  • Raising attainment, and quality of learning across KS3-KS4 - KS5 Is an additional option
  • Support both Science & Maths Teachers
  • Leading from the front, oozing passion & enthusiasm towards STEM subjects
  • Come up with new initiatives!
  • Review curriculum / teaching styles

The Head Teacher is keen to find a STEM enthusiast who can take the Schools STEM curriculum & departments to the next level. You'll be given full support from SLT while the freedom to make changes where needed.

You'll be joining a School with a HUGE list of achievements over the past 10 years, while be surrounded by peers who generally want to make a difference daily. There's no pointless / outdated teaching or marking methods - EVERYTHING makes sense.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have high standards for yourself & colleagues
  • Proven record of outstanding teaching
  • Real passion towards STEM
  • Willingness to lead from the front
  • Must have UK QTS
  • Graded "Outstanding" or "Good" in recent lesson observations
