Opening spring 2024, our new Hamberley Neurocare home in Basingstoke will provide rehabilitation, recovery, and residential care for people living with complex neurological conditions.

We are looking for a passionate, caring Therapy Lead (Lead Physiotherapist) to be part of our new home.

Could you be part of our team?

We’re looking for :

  • A qualified Occupational Therapist or a Physiotherapist with HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrable experience working as an Occupational Therapist or a Physiotherapist and in a lead role.
  • Previous experience working within a neuro environment is essential for this role.
  • You'll have experience managing a team and working with other healthcare professionals. 
  • Commitment to make a real difference to the lives of our patients.
  • Have excellent communications skills, a great attitude to teamwork and a desire to lead on patient care.
  • Flexible to work shifts

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide day to day support, supervision and guidance to the Therapy Team.
  • Support with general management of the service as required in conjunction with Registered Manager.
  • Be involved in assessments of potential residents and advise on appropriate therapy provision and carryout any investigations as delegated by Registered Manager or Directors. Ensure documentation is up to date and appropriate.
  • Coordinate the therapy assistants’ timetables and support them to provide a range of innovative and therapeutic activities, groups and projects.
  • Promote personal and social skills and leisure activities for all residents and liaise with relatives and carers with empathy giving information, support and advice whenever and as often as required.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
