Job Title: Lead Paint Technician

Salary: £50K

Ascend Talent is seeking a Lead Paint Technician to join an accident repair centre based in Heathrow. As an Lead Paint Technician you will be responsible for managing the whole paint department and all aspects of the vehicles entrusted with the ARC. In this position it requires knowledge & previous experience of the various systems & methods.

Responsibilities:

• As a Lead Paint Technician you will be responsible for a team of paint technicians providing guidance and support throughout the repair process.
• ?Perform high-quality paint repairs, including color matching, blending, and finishing, to restore vehicles to factory specifications.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that equipment and tools are properly maintained and used safely.
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers to ensure clear understanding of repair needs and expectations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

Experience/ Skills:

• Certification in ATA/NVQ highly desirable
• You will have previous experience in automotive painting and refinishing, with the ability to positively lead a team
• Proficiency in color matching and mixing, using computerized paint mixing systems if applicable.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
