My client a well-respected Air and Water Hygiene specialist is seeking a lead Legionella Assessor to lead a team of 3 in the day-to-day testing for their commercial clients, which include a portfolio of NHS hospitals, hotels, Industrial units, and some residential (social housing blocks)

You will be joining an established and expanding business with the objective of undertaking Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8 at client sites, mainly Southeast of England, Greater London and the Midlands.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 4 years’ experience of carrying out L8 risk assessments and ideally from a Legionella Consultancy background

More experienced candidates should have at least 5 years’ experience with High Risk Water Systems

Will have a good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these

An approved Legionella Risk Assessment qualification eg. City & Guilds, BOHS, WMSoc

A good working knowledge of ACOP L8 & Guidance Documents

Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs

Excellent communication skills

Be fluent in both verbal and written English

Full UK driving license

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with COSHH regulations / ACoP L8 / HTM 04-01 / BS 8580 -1 2019
  • Compiling schematic drawings, as well as validating final documents for clients/customers
  • Providing recommendations for the elimination, reduction and management of risk
  • Collating and producing comprehensive reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports.

Working Monday - Friday 

Salary up to 44 + Overtime +Van
