The Role
You will play a key role in the design and implementation of electrical systems, with a focus on sustainable energy efficient technologies. As the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will create cost effective designs using innovative technology to reduce electrical usage and hold the responsibility for M&E design from conception through to construction.

You will predict energy usage and also create detailed 3D models of electrical systems, as well as prototype and test new systems and components, understanding their reliability and performance while conducting thorough evaluations of electrical design and installations to ensure compliance with industry regulations, building codes and company specifications. You will then need to present designs and further information to internal and external stakeholders such as sub-contractors and the SLT.

The Person
You will be an experienced electrical engineer, knowledgeable in electrical design for facilities that have a complex mechanical and electrical design. You will have exposure to dealing with architects, engineers and construction teams throughout both the design and construction phase of M&E projects in facilities such as; data centres, ASRS warehousing, food processing or similar types of environments.

You will ideally have hands on experience with electrical software, AutoCAD, Revit or similar design tool packages and strong understanding of building code and regulations, direct DC supplies and renewables. A good understanding of control systems and writing specifications, as well and excellent project management skills would be advantageous as will hands on electrical design experience in a similar fast-paced and technology driven environment.
