Lead Buyer

Your New RoleA fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a global manufacturing business within the South Yorkshire area on a permanent basis. As Lead Buyer, you will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers, focusing on purchasing to deliver best value for the organisation, focusing on both direct and indirect purchasing. You will be providing cost-effective and value-added purchasing services to the business and have strong analytical skills with the ability to work as part of a team or as an individual.
Key Responsibilities

• Global supplier sourcing, supplier risk assessment and performance management
• High cross-functional stakeholders' engagement
• Procurement projects and tendering
• Cost savings and cost initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

• Purchasing experience within a matrix organisation or manufacturing environments, understanding of engineering would be advantageous.
• Experience in Direct Procurement
• Experienced in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven track record of cost savings initiatives
