Lead Attendance Officer - Join Our Dynamic Team!
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Lead Attendance Officer at our vibrant co-educational secondary school in the heart of London's bustling Newham Borough.

Lead Attendance Officer Responsibilities:

Take the lead in monitoring and improving attendance levels across the school.
Implement effective strategies to promote regular attendance and punctuality among students.
Work closely with students, parents, and external agencies to address any barriers to attendance.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, lateness, and absences.
Provide support and guidance to students experiencing attendance issues.
Collaborate with staff to develop and implement targeted interventions for students with persistent absence.
Conduct home visits and meetings with parents to address attendance concerns.

Lead Attendance Officer Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of improving attendance levels.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and families.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of students.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to attendance and safeguarding.
