Lead Attendance Officer - Join Our Dynamic Team!
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Lead Attendance Officer at our vibrant co-educational secondary school in the heart of London's bustling Newham Borough.

Lead Attendance Officer Responsibilities:
  • Take the lead in monitoring and improving attendance levels across the school.
  • Implement effective strategies to promote regular attendance and punctuality among students.
  • Work closely with students, parents, and external agencies to address any barriers to attendance.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, lateness, and absences.
  • Provide support and guidance to students experiencing attendance issues.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop and implement targeted interventions for students with persistent absence.
  • Conduct home visits and meetings with parents to address attendance concerns.
Lead Attendance Officer Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of improving attendance levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and families.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of students.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to attendance and safeguarding.
