Adept Engineering are proud to be working with a leading manufacturing business based in Sheffield, in their search for a Laser Operator who will produce quality sub-contract components for a range of industries.

Using technical knowledge, the successful person will lead maintain and operate a range of machinery to ensure top-class products.

Salary £14.00ph - £16.00ph + SHIFT ALLOWANCE

Working hours- Monday to Friday. - 3 SHIFT PATTERN - 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am

Responsibilities:
- Operate laser cutting machines to fabricate sheet metal parts according to specifications
- Set up and adjust machine settings such as speed, power, and focal length
- Use precision measuring instruments and calipers to ensure accuracy of cuts
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of parts
- Inspect finished products for quality and make adjustments as needed
- Assemble and package finished parts for shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machines preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic tooling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate a crane if necessary
