An experienced Land Surveyor with at least 4 years of experience in setting out and surveying within the civil engineering industry is needed to join the team at this leading firm of land and engineering surveyors on a full-time basis.

They are recruiting a land surveyor and setting out an engineer to work on different civil engineering projects across the UK.

The position will carry a competitive salary for a site engineer, and the accompanying package will be inclusive of a company van.

Required Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience setting out and surveying within the civil engineering industry
  • Be able to read and understand construction drawings
  • Proficient using survey software (ideally LSS) and be able to produce volumes
  • Good understanding of AutoCAD LT
  • Be capable of producing as-built drawings
  • Proficient in using a total station for surveying or setting out
  • Proficient in using a GPS kit for surveying or setting out
  • Proficient in using Dumpy Level
  • Be able to set out profile boards and batter rails to assist with earthworks projects
  • Have a good understanding of site QA paperwork

Required Skills:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Be IT-literate
  • Good communication skills and reliability
  • At least 5 GCSEs at grade C+
  • At least 2 A-Levels, grade D+
  • HNC Civil Engineering is preferred but not essential
