Engage Education is currently working with a school in Barking and Dagenham who are expanding and looking to appoint an exceptional A-Level Maths Teacher to teach solely Key Stage 5 classes. This is a permanent position to start in September 2024 and a TLR point is available for Lead Practitioner.

The successful applicant will be expected to lead inspirational lessons to A-Level pupils and support students to achieve their best within their final school years. This is a new sixth form that opened just 2 years ago.

The incoming A-Level Maths Teacher will be expected to deliver dynamic lessons that stretch their classes and encourage a passion for the subject. The school requires the ideal candidate to have a strong background in teaching KS5 Mathematics.

The school offers Lead Practitioners timetable CPD time with an external development coach to help them achieve Senior Leadership status within the school in the future. Departmental meetings also take place during the school day and there is a culture of not staying late into the evenings at the school. The Headteacher has been in post for the last 8 years and has created a positive approach to behaviour which is all based on mutual respect and relationship building.

You must:

• Hold QTS
• Have experience delivering A-Level Mathematics across the full age, gender and ability range, in a secondary school or College.
• Have a strong interest in working in an inner city school which caters for disadvantaged pupils
