Role Overview:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students in KS3 & KS4, ensuring they have access to a high-quality education and opportunities to thrive. You will work closely with teaching staff and SENCo to implement individual education plans and behavioural strategies, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise your SEND experience to provide targeted support to students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Employ effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
  • Demonstrate a good sense of humour and a supportive attitude towards students, fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Exhibit excellent initiative by proactively identifying and addressing the individual needs and learning styles of students.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and SENCo to develop and implement strategies to support students' academic and social-emotional development.
