Here at Reed, we are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic KS2 experienced HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to join our team at a school in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of high-quality education to KS2 students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the class teacher to plan and deliver lessons, ensuring that they are engaging, challenging and meet the needs of all students.

• Support students with their learning and development, both inside and outside the classroom.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional help with their studies.

• Monitor students' progress and report back to the class teacher.

• Encourage students to develop their social and emotional skills, promoting positive behaviour and supporting them to build positive relationships with their peers.

• Help to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including attending meetings and training sessions as required.

Requirements:

• Experience of working with children in a school setting.

• An understanding of the national curriculum and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• The ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents.

• A patient, caring and empathetic approach to working with children.

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

• A minimum of a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable

• A relevant degree or experience in a related field is an advantage.
