  • Position: Kitchen / Lunchtime Assistant
  • Salary: £15,000 per annum - Term time only, 30 hours a week
  • Location: West Hoathly (Access to own transport is essential)
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 9.30am - 3.30pm - flexibility can be offered

The role includes:

  • To support the kitchen in preparing and serving student and staff lunches.
  • To ensure that lunch areas are prepared in readiness for lunch sittings and cleaned after every sitting.
  • General kitchen tasks to assist the School Cook in provision of lunches.
  • Preparation of vegetables, salads, fruits and cold dishes.
  • Assisting the School Cook with cooking as required.
  • Ensure the serving areas are set up for lunches.
  • Ensure stock is stored in correct storage area.
  • Ensure stock is correctly rotated to avoid waste.
  • Ensure all Hazard Awareness and Critical Control Point (HACCP) procedures are complied with.
  • Carry out all kitchen cleaning in accordance with cleaning schedule.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience working as a Kitchen Assistant is essential.
