Are you a vibrant teaching assistant looking for a fresh challenge?


Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant for a Primary School located on the outskirts of the Winchester area.


As a successful candidate you will be providing a nurturing and caring environment for all pupils to excel and ensuring the best education possible.


You will be supporting students one-to-one or in small groups with their learning, as well as supporting the classroom teacher in their duties. You are likely to be supporting students with autism, learning difficulties, SEMH & behavioural challenges.

The role has the possibility of additional pay through the school's wrap around care scheme. This would involve be a staff member in a breakfast and or after school club.


Previous experience working within a school setting and/or special educational needs would be advantageous, but not essential as ongoing training will be offered throughout the role.


Contract Details for the Teaching Assistant role:


· Location: Winchester
· Position: Teaching Assistant
· Type of work: Support teaching
· Start date: ASAP
· Contract type: Long term
· Full time (8:30 - 3:30)
· Minimum rate of pay: GBP 85 (negotiable)


Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the Teaching Assistant role:


· Previous experience working with children and young people (desired)
· Pro-active attitude in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities
· A passion for supporting children with autism & complex needs
· You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students


To be eligible as a Teaching Assistant role through Prospero Teaching you must

·Hold Right to Work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
· Provide two professional child related references
