Job Title: Key Stage 1 Teacher

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: £30,000 - £46,515 (MPS/UPS)

Start Date: September

GSL Education is currently partnering with a small, supportive primary school in Bournemouth, in the pursuit of a dynamic and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher. This presents an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to become an integral part of the school.

The SEN school has a positive reputation for prioritising the mental well-being of its students and providing individualised support through 1:1 sessions or small group settings. This tailored approach fosters effective learning and development, maintaining discipline and attentiveness among students. Previous experience or knowledge of SEN is highly desirable, underlining the school's commitment to specialised support for students with special educational needs.

Therefore, any teachers with prior experience with SEN are extremely desirable

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree/Master’s Degree

• Teaching Certification (QTS/QTLS/PGCE)

• In-depth knowledge of the primary school curriculum and teaching methodologies

• Previous experience in a primary school is preferred but not mandatory.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine love for education

• Ability to craft engaging and inclusive lesson plans

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning styles

• Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration

• Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning atmosphere

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents

• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and well-being

• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices

• Create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and take risks
