In order to support the growth business in the field of Surgery (electrosurgery, advanced energy and imaging), Interventional Pulmonology and Endoscopy (Gastroenterology) our client is looking for a Key Account Manager to manage and maintain their existing accounts in South East area (encompassing Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Kent, Surrey and Sussex) whilst seeking out opportunities to expand their install base into prospective new accounts.

You will be located in UK (home based), live on territory, with requirement to travel as required on a minimum 4 days in the field per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of the territory in question including supporting existing customers, providing training, developing replacement business opportunities, coordinating trials and evaluations, planning and implementing projects to win new business.
  • Own and achieve the territory sales quota made up from capital, consumable and service sales including sales direct to customers, via framework agreements and via tenders into the NHS and Private Healthcare Sector.
  • Regular forecasting and pipeline discussions demonstrating a clear plan with contingency as to how you will achieve your financial goals.
  • Support the day-to-day clinical demonstrations, including management and coordination of key tenders, pricing exercises and projects in Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, Interventional Pulmonology and Surgery.
  • Proactive engagement and development with all Key Opinion Leaders in your territory.
  • Provision of regular feedback to the Company regarding development and progress in the respective markets.
  • Support key national and international congresses, events and training courses.

Your experience:

  • You have experience in creating, implementing, and reviewing territory business plans.
  • You will have a strong track record of meeting and exceeding performance targets including revenue targets and activity measures.
  • You will have experience in the field sales and/or application of medical devices or similar products, working with Surgical Key Opinion leaders in the hospitals.
  • You will have ideally already been in contact with surgeons or clinicians in the three main disciplines mentioned and have supported clinical trials/demonstrations.
  • You have experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously through a structured approach.
  • You will hold a high degree of resilience and the ability to bounce back from setbacks.
  • You are pragmatic, proactive, problem-solving and inventive whilst also being open to prudent risk taking to drive the business forward.
  • You have excellent time management, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, especially with consultants/academics/ Key Opinion Leaders and will have experience in project management.
  • You are fluent in English and an excellent communicator on all levels.
