Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Junior Technical Sales Consultant on a permanent basis due to growth.

As a Technical Sales Consultant for air services, you will follow sales processes to provide a smooth and efficient service to customers, whilst helping to grow the company's ventilation hygiene business by maximising sales opportunities.
You will often be the first point of contact for new ventilation hygiene business enquiries, so a friendly, welcoming, and professional approach is important.
In addition to handling new ventilation hygiene business enquiries, you will proactively manage your time across various workstreams within the sales function. Tasks will include preparing and chasing quotes, renewing service contracts, and providing technical support to the wider sales team. You will have excellent organisation and time management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To analyse area sales potential.
  • To maintain and improve a working knowledge of technologies involved within designated sales fields.
  • To represent the company and promote a “professional” image in the marketplace.
  • Prepare, send, and follow up quotes relating to the company's Air hygiene business, working towards monthly KPI’s.
  • Nurture good relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Confidently handle inbound and outbound calls to new and existing customers
  • Proactively respond to new business enquiries
  • Identify and maximise sales opportunities.
  • Learn the key fundamentals of legionella control.
  • Manage work and time effectively to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • To ensure when undertaking site surveys for quotation purposes, that sufficient site information is gathered and recorded clearly to enable compliance supervising engineers to execute the works safely and to the satisfaction of the client.
  • To support other members of sales team where personal experience will assist.
  • To ensure when orders are won that prior to handing to service delivery department for fulfilment contract paperwork is complete and fully checked.
  • Ensure that company processes and procedures are followed and that customers (internal and external) receive a quality service
  • Be familiar and comply with all relevant sections of the Companies Environmental Policy
  • Assisting the service delivery department with the production of method statements
  • Assisting the service delivery department with the production of risk assessments
  • To familiarise yourself and comply with all relevant section of the Company Health and Safety Policy
  • To attend any health & safety meetings invited to or attend any team meetings where health & safety updates are to be shared


Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least two years’ sales experience in a ventilation hygiene related role
  • Proven track record of generating new business and growing existing accounts
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills
  • High level IT skills in Microsoft office 365
  • Ability to show technical understanding of water hygiene legislation and guidance
