Our client, who provides fresh food services to independent schools, are currently looking to recruit a Junior Sous Chef for one of their prestigious schools near Cobham, Surrey.

This Junior Sous Chef role is Term Time and mostly Monday to Friday, daytimes, so offers a great work life balance.

As a Junior Sous Chef you will have an excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills. You will also be able to demonstrate a real passion for food & service and possess lots of enthusiasm.

Junior Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- To plan, prepare and cook menu items as directed by the Chef manager.
- To assist in the development and planning of menus, including future food trends, and to be passionate about developing new styles of service and concepts.
- To assist with stock taking when required.
- To carry out the smooth and efficient running of your section as appropriate.

Qualifications:
-Ideally have experience working within Education catering
-Have a progressive career to date with good length of service
-Be up to date with current food trends
-Have a real passion for food and customer service
-Have good Health & Safety knowledge
-Be able to work within set budgets
-Know how to cost and plan menus accurately
-Be familiar with training and coaching a team
