Junior Secretary - Fantastic Career Opportunity - Central London based.

3 months exp minimum in prof services ideally

£25 - 30k, excellent benefits

Amazing opportunity awaits an enthusiastic and ambitious Junior Secretary within this global construction property company in central London.

Working alongside and learning from 2 EAs, this role will allow the individual to grow and take on more and more responsibility over time. They’re super busy so you would gain amazing experience in all areas of Secretarial and EA tasks to support a large, social, fun team.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Formatting of reports/letters/presentations etc.
  • Arrange overseas and regional travel and hotel arrangements
  • Arrange the booking of meeting rooms, video/conference facilities, refreshments, restaurants, taxis etc. and liaise with internal and external meeting attendees
  • Responding and dealing with external or internal telephone calls and queries
  • Taking a proactive approach to correspondence e.g. dealing with issues or drafting responses before being asked
  • Maintaining an electronic filing system consisting of various project and fee files
  • Liaising with wider team and collating time sheets/expenses/forms/invoices
  • Assisting with organising events such as team meetings, socials, hospitality, business updates.
  • Assisting with on-boarding new staff Proof reading work to ensure consistent accuracy and high standard
  • Working collaboratively with a can-do attitude to solve problems and provide an excellent service to internal and external clients
  • Any other ad hoc duties as and when required, including support to other Team Assistants.
  • Occasional assistance in production of bids and presentations using InDesign
  • Occasional assistance with diary management for the team, arranging meetings, lunches, interviews, etc.

Skills and Experience

  • Around 3 months min + experience within a professional environment ideally.
  • Some secretarial or PA experience with formal administration / secretarial training highly desirable but not necessary
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign highly desirable but not necessary, training will be given
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate typing skills essential
  • Strong numerical skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Complete discretion in the handling of sensitive commercial information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload with minimal supervision
  • Friendly, polite and helpful manner
