JOB- Junior Quality Engineer  

LOCATION- Maresfield, East Sussex

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £30,000 - £38,000 (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a Junior / Graduate Quality Engineer on a permanent basis in the Maresfield, East Sussex area with experience in the manufacturing / engineering industry. Your main duty will be to assist the Quality Management Team in the day-to-day running of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. This would also be well suited to a Quality Inspector / Technician looking to step up.

The Junior Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing (Manufacturing very desirable) or qualified through experience in a Quality focused role.
  • 1 years’ experience in either Quality Inspection, Quality Engineering or similar.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management systems (ISO9001 / ISO14001) – beneficial
  • Understanding of the auditing process
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude.
  • Understanding of data analysis
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Any relevant experience within assembly manufacturing businesses - beneficial
The Junior Quality Engineer role will involve:

  • Ensuring that any failures are reviewed with manufacturing and engineering.
  • Ensuring all products meet the required quality standards.
  • Supporting the Quality Assurance team with dimensional testing using relevant equipment.
  • Maintaining the QMS to ISO9001.
  • Coordinating activities for continuous improvement
  • Conducting Internal Quality audits.
  • Liaising with other departments
