Junior Packaging Technologist

Great opportunity for an individual looking to secure their first or second position within a Packaging related opportunity, with a global manufacturer and key employer within the area.

The role is placed within R & D Packaging Department and reports to the Technical Manager and Senior Packaging Technologist.

A superb opportunity to kick start your career within Packaging on a long term rolling contract basis.

We are searching for someone who is happy with a flexible profile of responsibilities within this department.

Skills Required:

A university degree or diploma in an accredited body in Packaging or relevant Engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

Must be a team player.

Knowledge of the development of various types of packaging and packaging components, ie. cans, pumps, actuators, bottles, tubes, corrugates etc and technical testing of the considered elements.

Knowledge of manufacturing techniques for consumer products would be beneficial.

Good project management skills, with ownership mentality.

The ability to manage multiple projects, work cross functionally/internally and deliver against company business goals and objectives.

Strong report writing, communication and presentation skills.

Proven delivery focus.
