Client Details

A fantastic opportunity for a Junior Merchandiser - Ecommerce Homeware to join an Ecommerce retailer in the Leeds area. The business sells several different products for the home. They have been featured in GQ, Home & Garden to name a few.

Description

  • Help to plan and develop Merchandising strategies that balance customer expectation & profitability alongside our rapid expansion plan
  • Support with implementing new procedures and processes alongside the Senior Merchandising Team
  • Partake in the analysis & reporting of current sales data, customers reactions and channel trends in order to anticipate product needs and plan future ranges & stock
  • Help build & maintain a comprehensive library of historical data
  • Work to key performance indicators helping to optimise the sales volume and profitability of designated product areas according to the business plan
  • Actively involved with the monitoring of slow sellers & proposal of price reductions as necessary including the roll-up of mid and end-of-season sale plans
  • Work collaboratively with the team helping to monitor stock movement and help propose intake re-phasing as necessary based on the forward seasonal plan
  • Collaboratively work with the wider Merchandising, Operations & Logistics teams to ensure timely onboarding & arrival of stock with our various partners
  • Support the merchandiser on maintaining department WSSIs, stock and sales plans, ensuring stock is managed to targets
  • Take full ownership of departmental line cards, re-forecasting on a monthly basis and building out future sales plans

Profile

  • Established Assistant Merchandiser, Junior Merchandiser or similar
  • Strong computer literacy skills - especially in Excel
  • Analytical skills - confident in working with and extract insight from data
  • Strong decision making, time management skills and able to prioritise workload
  • Good commercial knowledge - specifically on wider marketplace and broader business
  • Team player attitude
