SF Recruitment are delighted to be working alongside a highly successful and rapidly expanding PE backed business based in Birmingham. As a result of growth, they are currently on the lookout for a hard working, self motivated Junior Management Accountant. This new role is to support the Finance Manager with the day to day running of the finance function and requires someone who enjoys a hands on role supporting across the finance function.

The successful Junior Management Accountant will be at least AAT qualfied, or studying ACCA/CIMA and have experience in a similar role. 

Role:

  • Preparing and posting month end journals
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with preparation of month end management accounts for multiple entities
  • Identifying variances, and analysing trends
  • Monthly & Quarterly VAT returns
  • Prepayments and Accruals
  • Reconciliation with costing reports
  • Assist with Budget and forecasting
  • Assisting with purchase ledger when required
  • Identify areas for process improvements
  • Ad-hoc duties, reporting and analysis

Requirements: 

  • Strong work ethic and be a self starter
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and be a team player
  • Experience within a hands on role in finance
  • Experience with process improvements / implementations desirable
  • Experience with Sage packages
  • Strong Excel skills
  • AAT Qualified / Studying Towards ACCA/CIMA or Qualified by Experience
