Junior Management Accountant | Global PR Agency | Central London

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a well-established Strategic Communications Agency, supporting them with their search for a Junior Management Accountant to join their team out of their Central London office.

They have been worldwide leaders in their market 20+ years, with offices spreading across the UK, US, Asia & Africa. They are pioneers in integrated communication campaigns, aiming to help clients manage their reputation, improve their visibility and media coverage, delivering global campaigns across multiple platforms.

They have a fantastic office space in the heart of London, where they like to make use of the vibrant bars and restaurants nearby. They are a values driven business who are now looking for an eager Junior Management Accountant to join their sociable, collaborative team.

The Role:

The candidate will support the day-to-day handling of accounting processes. Emphasis is placed on the importance of culture, embracing respect and ambition. The Junior Management Accountant will need to show the potential to take on wider roles and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support key financial processes, support the Finance Manager and raise standards across the agency.
  • Support of month-end procedure.
  • Income recognition, questioning budget approvals and scrutinising work before providing income summaries to the Finance Manager & Finance Director.
  • Cash and bank responsibilities. Including updating daily cash postings, along with short-term cashflow forecast, month-end bank reconciliations and petty cash reconciliations.
  • Liaising with project leads on client spend and ensuring and issues are dealt with swiftly.
  • Accounts Payable, chasing Purchase Orders, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and the correct procedure has been carried out by employees.
  • Management of company credit cards, ensuring the completion of monthly statements and chasing missing receipts.
  • Assist the FM in month-end reporting to the board. This would include utilization reports, absence reports and detailed debtor's ledgers.
  • Updating timesheets each week.

What we need (essential):

  • In studies - ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
  • At least 2 years' experience in creative/media agencies.
  • Excellent Excel and IT skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ambition to progress with the drive to flourish in the agency's entrepreneurial environment.
  • A desire to learn and approach difficult tasks with courage.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + study support
