Junior Graduate Accountant

Equifind are representing a boutique Financial Services firm based in Mayfair who are looking to hire a Junior Graduate Accountant.

This start-up firm offers a range of competitive short-term finance services within the finance and real estate markets.

The company are in to work life balance, employee well being and giving people broad experience in a structured way.

You will be directly reporting to their Finance Director, supporting and assisting the team with bank reconciliations, payment set-up's, VAT returns, and credit control along with other accounting tasks. This boutique firm has a small finance team which will allow you to gain more exposure to various roles and further develop your understanding of finance as a whole.

The Role:

The key responsibilities for the Junior Graduate Accountant for the Financial Services company based in Mayfair will be:

· Assisting with monthly reporting Process (P&L, balance sheet & cashflow) and timely delivery of draft financial information.

· Responsibility and ownership of accurate balance sheet accounts and reconciliations.

· Assisting with the year-end audit and tax process.

· Ensuring accounts are up to date and the payments and receipts are processed in a timely manner.

· Ad-hoc projects for the Head of Finance and Financial Controller.

Application Criteria:

To be considered for the role of Junior Graduate Accountant working for this Financial Services business based in Mayfair, candidates should ideally be:

· Ideally a graduate with a degree in a subject that represents numeracy, business or science

· Ideally from a Russell Group/Red Brick University but not mandatory

· Anything from 6-12 Months experience within a finance function either as a Placement/Sandwich Year OR post Graduation experience.

· Have an ambition or real desire to pursue the CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification.

· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment.

· Strong work ethic and good culture.

Compensation:

The Junior Graduate Accountant working for this Financial Services firm based in Mayfair will be paid a competitive market based salary with full study support (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
