Are you a ‘Foodie’ with good experience working in the food manufacturing industry?

Are you looking for a varied role, visiting multiple sites, carrying out vital product trials as part of the NPD process?

Reed Food and FMCG have been briefed to recruit for a top employer in the Food Manufacturing industry, to recruit for a Food Technologist, to work in a hands on role, creating new products from recipes and carrying out testing and trial production of these products.

The role will suit someone who has either studied towards their Food degree, or who has worked within Production in a Food Manufacturing business and understands the process of producing a food product.

Junior Food Technologist
£28,000 - £30,000 per annum

Blackpool

Job responsibilities:

• Take product from recipe through to testing and trial production, working with the wider team to deliver on new product trials.

• Completion of documentation to the high standards required for the trials, pre-production runs and launches.

• Support / hold pre trial meetings to ensure all stakeholders and informed and engaged in trials and launch phase

• Ensure all materials are ordered and in place when required for trials

Person specification:

• A degree or equivalent experience in a food-related subject and knowledge of product development process and technical systems.

• 2 years’ experience in a production or quality role within a food business

• Good understanding and strong interest in food product development

• Good understanding of manufacturing capabilities, products, process flows and HACCP systems.
